The QA Manager is responsible for leading all Quality Assurance operations across the factory. This includes supervising QA teams, ensuring consistent product quality at every stage—from raw material inspection to final shipment—and maintaining an effective Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with company and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Department Supervision
o Lead, manage, and monitor the QA department, including inline, end-line, and final inspection teams.
o Plan and assign daily QA tasks to ensure effective coverage at all production stages.
o Supervise and evaluate QA team performance.
2. Process Control & Quality Monitoring
o Ensure quality assurance operations are effectively implemented at all checkpoints:
§ Incoming Material Inspection
§ Cutting & Trims Inspection
§ Sewing (Inline, Endline, and Final Inspection)
§ Packing and Shipment Audit
o Monitor defect trends and initiate corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
o Coordinate root cause analysis (RCA) for major quality issues.
3. Sample & Product Development (PD) Coordination
o Supervise the PD Sample File Library to ensure reference samples, specifications, and approvals are well maintained.
o Coordinate with Sampling, Merchandising, and Production departments for quality approvals before bulk production.
4. QMS Implementation
o Ensure implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) as per ISO 9001 standards.
o Conduct internal audits and quality reviews to ensure compliance with buyer requirements and company procedures.
5. Training & Development
o Conduct quality awareness and technical training sessions for QA staff and production operators.
o Develop skill matrices for QA team members to improve competency levels.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination
o Collaborate with Production, Planning, IE, and Merchandising teams to address and resolve quality issues from sampling to shipment.
o Participate in pre-production meetings to define quality standards and risk points.
7. Reporting & Documentation
o Maintain QA reports, audit summaries, and CAPA records.
o Present weekly and monthly quality performance reports to management.
