Position:            CPD (Continued Professional Development) Project Officer

Reports to:        Education Project Manager

Location:            Peshawar, Pakistan

Position Summary:

The CPD Project Officer will be responsible to assist in designing and implementation of Continued Professional Development component including ‘School Readiness Program (SRP), Post Primary Readiness Program (PPRP). Planning and delivery of teachers training, strengthening of Parent Teacher Committees, content development, IEC material and enrollment drives in project target regions. The position will also be responsible for reporting on the progress of CPD component and maintaining liaison with education department, Provincial Institute of Teachers Education (PITE), PTCs and school management

Summary of Key Functions:

·         Responsible for planning, coordinating and conducting of trainings

·         Design, prepare and order relevant educational aids and materials

·         Technical and operational support to project training components

·         Networking and partnership building

·         Quality data management and Reporting

Key Responsibilities:

·         Assist, Education Project Manager (EPM) in designing, management and implementation of Project training component. The training component include teachers training, activation & training of PTCs, training of SRP/PPRP facilitators, development & implementation of School Improvement Plans (SIPs). Preparation of training implementation mechanism, schedule and training budgets.

·         The incumbent will be responsible for preparation of training reports and maintaining training calendar and database

·         Will be responsible for achieving training targets, and report on relevant indicators of the project.

·         Coordinate and liaison with partner, district administration, education departments at districts and provincial level to ensure quality implementation and output in relation to agreed project objectives.

·         Assist EPM in preparation of Donor’s yearly/interim narrative reports.

·         Assist EPM in program development including development of new Concept Notes, innovative approaches and proposals.

·         Provide facilitation in assessments, data collection, baselines, KAP surveys and evaluations.

·         Conducting regular Field visits to monitor training activities in project areas.

·         Collaborate with the Finance/Admin and Logistics to ensure that training supplies and resources are available in a timely manner to support project implementation.

·         Provide support and guidance to other RI’s staff to assist in their capacity-building activities.

·         Regularly report on trainings activities progress, achievements, bottlenecks, document challenges and lesson learned.

·         Assist with any other duties as deemed necessary

 Qualifications & Requirements:

·         Master’s degree in Social Sciences or in a relevant subject.

·         At least 5 years’ experience in designing and implementation of trainings in education sector.

·         Experience in content development

·         Excellent Written and Verbal Communication and report writing skills.

·         Experience of networking with Government Line departments/ district administration and donor liaison. 

·         Excellent analytical skills and working knowledge of SPSS

·         Proven ability to effectively manage relationships with stakeholders and partners.

·         Past experience of working with refugees

·         Strong organizational skills and resourcefulness

·         Willingness and ability to travel
