We are looking for a Sr. Laravel developer with proven experience working on large web applications and sites who is as comfortable with the front-end as they are in the back-end. You will be familiar with the latest techniques and technologies in web development and you will be keen to stay up to date. You understand what makes for a great user experience while balancing that with highly performant server side code. You’ll bring ideas to each project and successfully advocate those ideas.

Essential skills

• Experience of architecting and building websites and applications using Laravel 5+
• Expert-level knowledge of modern PHP, including Composer and PHP-FIG standards and modern web standards with HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript
• Very strong understanding of OOP principles and practices
• Very strong MVC and ORM principles and practices
• Proficient in MySQL with complex SQL queries
• Strong JavaScript/jQuery/Bootstrap skills
• Version control and Git workflow
• Deployment processes

Added plus (but not required)

• Experience with Angular.js
• 5-7 years of prior Experience as Laravel Developer
• Adept at working on the Linux on the command line and using tools such as Vagrant and Virtualbox for setting up development environments
• A high level of understanding of MySQL, database design and writing performant queries
• Ability and desire to quickly learn and apply new technologies and a working knowledge of other programming languages outside of PHP
• Strong understanding of the SOLID object-oriented design principles
• Experience with Redis
